Obama May Adopt Israeli Electric Car

Rumors have it that the Obama administration is considering adopting the electric car model of the Israeli company Better Place. Better Place, was started 14 months ago by entrepreneur Shai Agassi. Its goals include switching cars around the world from the pump to the plug. The plan envisions using battery-powered electric vehicles that would recharge at parking meter-style "charging spots," on a grid powered by renewable energy.

Better Place believes they will heavily influence the Obama administration's rehabilitation of the auto industry. So far Israel, Denmark, and Australia have signed on to Better Place's vision. If Obama wants to give America another chance, he would be wise to follow suit.
