We've all seen the reviews and I have received many emails asking what my favorites are. So I decided to write them in a list. Here they are from least to most favorite:

#5 Tesla: This all electric car was hyped up from the beginning. Although it made my list, I still feel it is too expensive for the common man or woman to enjoy.

I thought I would follow up my previous pro Indian auto maker blog post with another. Tata Car Makers are offering the world's cheapest hybrid car. The Nano is potentially being sold for $2,500. Yes this is cheap...really cheap and I know that must make some of you winder: What's the catch?

Well there does not seem to be a catch other than the fact that they have been rapped about not holding up in crash tests. At any rate this might not be the final price of the Nano, but whatever it is it will be considerably less than any other hybrid.

You have to hand it to India, their car manufacturers no how to go Green. First Tata signs a deal with MDI (out of Luxemberg) to produce the Air Car in India and now Reva the main green car producer is set to replace their lead acid batteries with ion ones. What's even more incredible is that they are offering an off-board charger that will charge 90% of the ion battery in one hour.

Obama knew he had a lot to contend with in a matter of weeks. He knew he had an economic disaster to fix and an environmental storm to deal with. Of course he has had grand designs involving peace in the Middle East, yet he was sure that he had his priorities straight. Deal with the first two and then tackle the impossible...the Middle East.

So TH!NK is still alive, well just barely. Using the life line given to them by their wealthy investors they have begun to finish the cars that were already planned to be finished. Does this mean they are completely past the turmoil? No. Yet it is signal of life when just a mere couple of weeks ago it looked like TH!NK was going to be buried with many of the other false starts.

Lotus has been working on electric vehicles for over ten years. Lotus CEO Michael Kimberley recently said, "Don't be surprised to see an electric Lotus shortly." It might even show up as a concept car at the Geneva car show in March.

The Queen of England is environment conscious and is converting her 2 gas guzzlers to hybrids using biofuel. Her cars cost 10 million pound sterling each, which is about 14 million, six hundred thousand dollars per car. The cars were given to her Royal Highness as a gift by the Bentley Company, who maintains them to this day.

The Prius electric hybrid was introduced into the American market in late 2000. Although some drivers have gotten 300,000 miles on their batteries, at some point the batteries can wear out. What happens is that the batteries cannot provide enough charge to run the car. That's when you've got to replace the battery.

So you might not think that Peugot has any green car credentials, well think again. The Peugot ePure is a hydrogen fuel cell powered two door. It looks slick and has some great driving specs.

Despite the positives, thee are two things preventing this car from taking off: Peugot and hydrogen. The name Peugot will do a lot to thwart the ePure's branding (not that Peugot makes bad cars) and the fact that it runs on hydrogen will hamper the consumer's desire to buy it. I am still a backer of electric propulsion over hydrogen, even with cars like the ePure.

It happens every so often, but I actually like a concept vehicle. This one is designed by Alex Hodge. The Hawk is a cool three wheeled futuristic roadster. Besides the look it is powered by a Honda RC51 V-twin 999cc engine, with a redline of 10,000rpm, 120RWhp and a theoretical top speed of 233 kilometers per hour.

Despite the fact it's a concept vehicle, I think if it was ever mass produced it could be a real winner. Well we'll have to wait and see which concept Alex decides to promote first his electric fan or the Hawk. I hope he chooses the Hawk.
